What we do: we thoroughly rinse every window at the end of the wash, and we run a rinse aid to prevent water spotting as much as possible. We thoroughly rinse every window at the end and use a rinse aid to prevent water spotting as much as possible, and when windows started out coated in algae and debris the improvement is dramatic. But a house wash is not a true window cleaning. Middle Tennessee water carries mineral content that can leave some spotting behind as it dries, so we still recommend a dedicated window cleaning afterward. We offer a spot-free rinse, an RO/DI water-fed pole system, or traditional scrub, scrape and squeegee.
It genuinely helps. Cracking the bottom of your screens loose, or removing them entirely, lets the debris packed into your window channels flush out instead of staying trapped behind the screen. The screens themselves also hold years of dust that we can rinse properly once they are free. It is optional, and we never require it, but it is the single easiest way to improve your result.
The safe method for cleaning Hardie Board fiber cement siding is a low-pressure soft wash, in line with the cleaning guidance James Hardie publishes. We use specialized detergents to kill algae and remove dirt, followed by a gentle rinse. This protects the factory ColorPlus finish and avoids the chipping and delamination that high pressure causes, which can also void the manufacturer warranty.

Our oxidation removal process applies a professional-grade cleaning agent, gently scrubs the surface with soft-bristle brushes to lift the oxidized layer, and finishes with a controlled low-pressure rinse. This restores the original color without damaging the vinyl. High pressure must never be used on oxidized siding, because it removes the chalky layer unevenly and leaves permanent streaks.
We recommend washing every one to two years for most Middle Tennessee homes. Our humid climate regrows algae quickly, especially on shaded and north-facing walls, and regular washing is far cheaper than repairing or replacing permanently stained siding.
