Southern Solution Pressure Washing

General Terms & Conditions

We attend industry training sessions annually to stay current with the latest techniques in pressure washing and exterior cleaning. Every cleaning is treated as a restoration of your property.

Our basic cleaning services include applying an organic-killing solution to the surface to eliminate any organic growth which causes staining. Other stains (such as rust, efflorescence, acid stains, or paint) may incur separate charges.

Important: Some stains are permanent. Success in certain areas does not guarantee success in others. You are responsible for all charges agreed upon when accepting this proposal, regardless of the final results.

Surface Preparation and Access

All areas to be cleaned must be free and clear of obstacles, including:

  • Vehicles and ATVs
  • Grills and outdoor furniture
  • Chairs, planters, and decorative items
  • Other personal property

If these items are not moved and we are unable to access the area, your appointment will be rescheduled. We will not be held responsible for any damage to personal property that we need to move in order to complete the cleaning. An additional fee may be charged for moving items or rescheduling.

Homeowner's Responsibility for Property Protection

It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure that all windows and doors are securely closed prior to the start of work. We are not liable for any water intrusion or damage resulting from open windows or doors during cleaning.

Water & Electrical Access

Our services require access to water and sometimes electricity from your residence to complete the job. By accepting this agreement, you agree to provide access to these resources as needed.

Plant and Landscaping Protection

We are not responsible for any damage to landscape plants, shrubs, grass, or ornamental plants. Homeowners are asked to wet landscape plants 24 hours prior to cleaning. While we will take precautions to limit damage, we cannot guarantee against plant damage.

Liability for Pre-Existing Conditions

We are not responsible for any damages caused by:

  • Faulty outlets or improper window seals
  • Loose or broken shingles
  • Defective construction or wood rot
  • Chipped or failing paint
  • Improperly sealed windows or doors
  • Unsecured wiring or improperly installed gutters
  • Failed caulking

We are also not liable for water infiltration due to poor maintenance, construction defects, or other issues that allow water intrusion into the home.

Cleaning Limitations

We will make every attempt to clean surfaces to the best of our ability. However, some stains may be impossible to remove fully, including:

  • Tree sap
  • Artillery fungus (requires scraping - available for an additional charge)
  • Oil-based products
  • Paint overspray

Cleaning oxidized surfaces, particularly painted or stained wood, may leave a blotchy or spotty appearance due to varying levels of oxidation. Labor-intensive methods to remove remaining spots are available for an additional charge.

Water Spot Disclaimer

Windows can sometimes become spotted from the water used during cleaning. We do not clean windows and are not responsible for removing water spots. If you would like this service, it is available for an additional charge.

Pre-Existing Stains & Surface Issues

We will inspect surfaces for tough stains such as rust, artillery fungus, and other difficult-to-remove substances before beginning work and will attempt to clean them as best as possible. However, some stains may not come out. Stubborn stains may require additional services or techniques.

Guarantees & Service Warranty

🏠 Roof Cleaning Guarantee

We provide a 5-year guarantee that the roof will stay clean. No cleaning warranty applies if untrimmed trees hang over the roof. This is a standard offering from all Softwash Systems certified companies and is designed to ensure customer satisfaction.

🛡️ General Organic Growth Warranty

We guarantee our cleanings for 6 months (2 years for roof washes). Through this guarantee, we ensure that organic growth (black streaks, green algae, etc.) will not return within the allowed period. If it does, we will return to correct the issue at our earliest convenience.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the same outcome for other types of cleanings due to varying conditions and factors. All warranties are limited to the manufacturer's warranties of the products we use. No other implied or expressed warranties apply.

Client Communication & Issue Resolution

If at any time during the process you have concerns about our work, please notify us immediately. We are committed to addressing and rectifying any issues promptly to ensure your satisfaction.

Workplace Safety

The safety of your family, our employees, and visitors is a priority. It is your responsibility to ensure that all children, pets, and visitors remain clear of the surfaces being cleaned during the cleaning process and for 24 hours afterward.

Service Limitations

This service is intended as a peace-of-mind offering for disinfecting surfaces, but we are not responsible for the ongoing cleanliness after the area has been touched again.

Some surfaces, such as vinyl or aluminum siding, may experience fading, chalking, or other weather-related damage over time. Cleaning may expose faded areas more visibly. The outcome of the cleaning will depend on the condition of the surface prior to any work being performed.

Deposits & Payment Terms

Deposit Requirements: Deposits are required for residential jobs totaling over $1,750 before tax or for material-heavy services (e.g., sealing, staining). The deposit is non-refundable once work has begun or materials have been ordered.

  • Typical deposit: 20% for services
  • Material deposit: 90% of the material cost
Payment Terms: Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. An interest rate of 2% per month will accrue after 31 days of non-payment. After 60 days of non-payment, we may begin the collection process, which could include reporting to credit agencies or filing liens on your property.

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept cash, checks, and online payments through Square, which also offers financing options if necessary.

Returned Check Fee: A $50.00 processing fee will apply for any returned checks.

Weather-Related Delays

We strive to maintain our schedule. However, as an outdoor service, weather conditions may cause delays or require rescheduling. We will notify you as soon as possible in the event of a schedule conflict due to weather.

Client Consent for Media Use

The client agrees to allow Southern Solution to utilize photos, descriptions, reviews, quotes, or videos of the property and/or client for marketing or advertising purposes without compensation to the client. This includes media posted or displayed on online platforms such as social media or the company's website.

Agreement & Acceptance

By agreeing to our pricing and scheduling, you accept these terms and conditions. No signature is required for this agreement to be upheld.
